The third meeting of the group on interaction and cooperation of Cata3Pult, Cool4City, BBC1, LALAPETE and CroBoDDIT projects was held

On May 18, the third meeting of the group on interaction and cooperation of five projects: Cata3Pult, Cool4City, BBC1, LALAPETE and CroBoDDIT of the Cross – border Cooperation Program "South-Eastern Finland – Russia 2014-2020" was held.

During the meeting, the signing of the cooperation agreement and upcoming events were discussed:

Seminar "Forest pollution as an environmental problem in the border area of Russia and Finland"

On May 12, we took part in the online seminar "Forest pollution as an environmental problem in the border area of Russia and Finland". The seminar was held within the framework of the project "Innovative information technologies for analyzing the negative impact on the forests of the border region" – InnoForestView KS1309. The project was implemented under the cross-border cooperation program "South-Eastern Finland – Russia 2014-2020".

Start-up workshop "Clean Green City by Smart Waste Management"

On April 22, the start-up workshop of the project "Clean Green City by Smart Waste Management" (KS11173, Cool4City), implemented within the framework of the cross ‒ border cooperation Program "South-Eastern Finland ‒ Russia" for the period 2014-2020, was held.

The seminar was held within the framework of the cross-border environmental education forum "Baltic Circular Economy Forum".

The task of the "Cool4City" project is to develop innovative solid waste management systems in Russia and Finland.

The online workshop was attended by more than 30 invited stakeholders, as well as Russian and Finnish project partners. Russian and Finnish project participants spoke about their professional activities in the field of waste management and their role in the project.

Participated in the Baltic Circular Economy Forum

On April 22, we took part in the Baltic Circular Economy Forum, the first and only congress and exhibition event in Russia dedicated to the closed-loop economy, sustainable development, and the introduction of "green" technologies in small and medium-sized businesses.

Participated in the round table "Expert search mechanism for Russian and Finnish companies in the framework of the INCROBB project"

On April 21, the Association of Environmental Partnerships (NP "AsEP", Krylov B. S. and Antipova J. K.) took part in the round table "Expert search mechanism for Russian and Finnish companies within the framework of the INCROBB project", organized in St. Petersburg by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the framework of the South-Eastern Finland – Russia cross-border cooperation program.

The event discussed the mechanism of direct access of companies from Russia and Finland to the contacts of the experts they need in various fields of activity. The open database of experts created within the framework of the project will allow Russian and Finnish companies to get access to the contacts of the necessary specialists, and in turn will provide potential experts with the opportunity to receive orders and probably in the future potential employment.
The information obtained can be very useful for the development of existing and future projects.

April 22-23, 2021 Case Challenge final

On March 11, 2021, the Tyreman Group and the ITMO University school of biotechnology and refrigeration launched an industrial symbiosis competition to better address the problem of using pig blood as the main resource for new production. It is planned to listen to the presentations of the ITMO University teams with their proposed solutions and vote for the best. Read more at the link.

Workshop on waste management

A training webinar on the Cata3Pult project on waste management via ZOOM with simultaneous translation from Russian to English is scheduled for May 25, 2021. Among the speakers - representatives of Rosprirodnadzor - the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources, St. Petersburg ITMO University, the Ministry of the Environment of Finland, etc. The webinar program is currently under development. The links will be sent to everyone, as well as posted on the portal ecoprofi.info and on social media.
