Organization of a survey for residents of Russia: separate accumulation and collection of solid municipal waste on the territory of the Russian Federation

In order to develop separate accumulation and collection of waste on the territory of all subjects of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Russian Federation approved an action Plan ("roadmap") for the introduction of separate accumulation (SAW) and collection of solid municipal waste (MSW) No. 4586p-P11 dated June 1, 2020.
Currently, the authorized executive authorities of the Russian Federation are conducting a comprehensive step-by-step work on the formation of the SAW system on the territory of the subjects of the Russian Federation.

As part of this work, a survey "The attitude of residents to the separate accumulation and collection of solid municipal waste on the territory of the Russian Federation" is posted on the official website of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. You can take the survey by following the link. The results of the survey of residents will be used in the formation of a system of separate accumulation and collection of MSW waste.

Conference "Implementation of the principles of the closed-cycle economy for the complete recycling of waste generated as a result of wastewater treatment"

Association of Environmental Partnership (NP "AsEP"), with the support of the Environmental Councils under the governors of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region, will organize a conference on October 28, 2021 (14.00-17.00, Tchaikovsky str., 46-48): "Implementation of the principles of a closed-cycle economy for the complete recycling of waste generated as a result of wastewater treatment (business models, biotechnology and exchange of experience)".

The event is held as part of the implementation of projects of the cross-border cooperation Program "South-East Finland – Russia 2014-2020". Presentations by representatives of water utilities, technology developers, as well as enterprises producing industrial equipment for technological processes of wastewater sludge processing are planned. In view of the fact that problems with the disposal of sewage sludge are constantly in the attention of the environmental community and are directly related to ensuring environmental safety, both in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, we invite environmental specialists to take part in this conference.

The event is held within the framework of the project "Business in biotechnology and circular economy" of the cross-border cooperation Program "South-Eastern Finland – Russia 2014-2020", which is supported by the Administration of St. Petersburg. Finnish participants will participate online with a remote connection to the seminar hall.

The seminar will be attended by the heads and specialists of the Committee for Nature Management, Environmental Protection and Environmental Safety, the Nevsky Environmental Operator, the Center for Environmental Information for Enterprises AsEP (www.ecoprofi.info) and large retail chains.

It is planned to discuss a wide range of issues related to the treatment of MSW at retail enterprises, as well as exchange experience in implementing the mechanism of extended producer responsibility.

A meeting of the Environmental council under the Governor of St. Petersburg was held

On July 9, a meeting of the Environmental council under the Governor of St. Petersburg was held. The issues of maintaining the ecological well-being of water bodies on the territory of St. Petersburg were considered and ways to improve their health, as well as suggestions for organizing the "Neva Day".
It was decided to approve the idea of the "Neva Day" and prepare a draft proposal for its organization for the next meeting. In addition, it was decided to create a working group under the Environmental council "Waste management in St. Petersburg".

The fourth meeting of the group on interaction and cooperation of the Cata3Pult, Cool4City, BBC1, LALAPETE and CroBoDDIT projects was held

On June 29, the fourth meeting of the group on interaction and cooperation of five projects was held: Cata3Pult, Cool4City, BBC1, LALAPETE and CroBoDDIT of the Cross-Border Cooperation Program "South-Eastern Finland – Russia 2014-2020".

    Within the framework of this conference, a round table "Cooperation of science and business in the field of biotechnologies and closed economy projects South-Eastern Finland – Russia" will be held on August 23.
