The Ministry of natural resources of Russia changes the principle of payments for garbage collection

The Ministry of natural resources and ecology of the Russian Federation intends to reform the method of calculating the payment for garbage collection — the cost of this service will depend on the actual volume of waste produced by citizens, and not on the standard set by regional authorities. So, the Ministry met the wishes of residents who complained about unreasonably high payments due to incorrectly calculated indicators by officials.

The decision to publish the article was made

In order to attract experts to the "Cata3Pult" project and to participate in the creation of a special issue of the popular magazine "Environment of Saint Petersburg", dedicated to the development of industrial symbiosis and the introduction of a closed-loop economy, KOSMOS LLC decided to publish an article on the implementation of the "Cata3Pult" project and the experience already gained in the first year of the project.

Materials are being prepared on available tools, examples and practices that contribute to creating favorable economic conditions for reducing waste generation, involving them in repeated economic turnover, and simulating the introduction and application of resource-saving technologies to protect the environment.

The approximate publication date of the magazine is July 2020. The magazine will be published in 2 languages: Russian and English.

Coronavirus makes us reconsider our attitude to various aspects and problems of our life

One of these issues is the emission of carbon dioxide and the fight against it.

In connection with the epidemic and the economic slowdown reduced demand for energy in the broadest sense, will suffer as oil and gas (we are already seeing) and renewable energy source (all signs of this are already emerging — forecasts expect a noticeable reduction of input of new capacities from RES pre-coronavirus plans).

As a result, first of all, RES supporters have an opportunity to create a most-favored-nation regime for "green" energy. Second, when the economic recovery begins, we need to replace the lost volumes of traditional energy sources with renewable sources. That is, to capture market share in the "interspecies" struggle (RES against fossil fuels).
