Round table of the Cool4City international project

On November 18, 2021, within the framework of the Eighth All-Russian Forum "Meeting of the working group of IT managers of the regions of the Russian Federation "IT Dialogue 2021" (organized by the Government of St. Petersburg with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation), an event in the format of a round table "Rational waste management to ensure sustainable development of the region" will take place.

The round table will discuss the issues of solid municipal waste management in Russia and Finland, past and future changes, as well as the possibilities of rational waste management in the border region for a sustainable future. It is also planned to participate Finnish colleagues implementing the international project "Clean green city by smart waste management" (KS11173, Cool4City) under the Program of cross-border cooperation "South-East Finland – Russia 2014-2020".

Webinar of the expert group on cyclical economy "Reuse and Recycling – Concrete Business in Mind" was held

On November 10, a webinar of the expert group on cyclical economy "Reuse and Recycling – Concrete Business in Mind" was held. Reports of Finnish and Russian organizations were presented at the webinar, enterprises shared their experience in the reuse of concrete, the project partner leader presented experience in creating a geopolymer noise-proof wall from secondary resources from the dismantling of buildings and structures, a report was made by the chairman of the Regional Public Organization "Ecological Community" on the peculiarities of the construction waste and soil market in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. In the near future, according to the results of the webinar, a "Summary of the content, new understanding and study" will be released.

Expert seminar of SPbGTI (TU) and LLC "Komsomolskaya Pravda Plastics Processing Plant"

Within the framework of cooperation on the project with the organizers of the seminar (SPbGTI (TU) and LLC "Komsomolskaya Pravda Plastics Processing Plant") KOSMOS LLC received an invitation to participate in an expert seminar.

On November 10, 2021, KOSMOS LLC took part in an expert seminar to discuss the implementation of a pilot project to develop the activities of examination centers for independent assessment of qualifications (examination sites-centers for assessment of qualifications in the nanoindustry) operating on the basis of educational institutions of higher education.

More than 90 invitees took part in the seminar.

Boris Vladimirovich Pekarevsky, Vice-Rector for Academic and Methodological Work of SPbGTI (TU); Nikolay Rudolfovich Toivonen, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development of SPbGEU; Deputy Director of Educational Projects and Programs of the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs (RUSNANO Group) made a welcoming speech - Stanislav Urilovich Nissimov; Deputy Chairman of the SEC in the nanoindustry - Olga Alekseevna Kryukova.

The presentation was presented by the General Director of LLC "Plant "KP", the head of the CSC in the nanoindustry - S.P. Kozlova.

Barcamp "National technological revolution 20.35"

From November 8 to 10, 2021, at the Boiling point – St. Petersburg, the National technological revolution 20.35 Barcamp is being held for the sixth time — an annual educational business conference in the field of technology and innovation, organized by the participants themselves, where trends for the whole next year are set.

On November 8, KOSMOS LLC took part in the session "Climate Challenge: an opportunity to build a better future and key technologies for transforming the planet".

The following topics were touched upon: renewable energy sources, the impact of energy efficiency on economic growth, CO2 emissions from the agricultural sector and residential buildings, the production of green hydrogen, the use and sale of electric vehicles.

Forum of the Future: "Northern Dimension 2021"

Northern Dimension (ND) is a joint policy of four equal partners: the European Union, the Russian Federation, Norway and Iceland. The ND policy provides a platform for practical cooperation via its thematic partnerships: environment, transport and logistics, culture, and public health and social well-being.

On December 1, 2021, from 13:00 to 17:00 Finnish time, the Forum of the Future: "Northern Dimension 2021" will be held. DeCarbonization_Tech program for technology companies from Russia engaged in decarbonization

On November 1, 2021, LLC "SAMI" - a member of the international consortium "St. Petersburg Cluster of Clean Technologies for the Urban Environment" (SAMI website), the Japanese Association ROTOBO together with the Russian-Japanese association INNOVATIONS BRIDGE launches the DeCarbonization_Tech program for technology companies from Russia engaged in decarbonization.

Applications are accepted on the accelerator's website until November 22, 2021.

The goal of the program is to find innovative solutions in the field of decarbonization and carbon footprint reduction for further integration into the production processes of large Japanese companies.

According to its results, selected GreenTech projects will be able to pilot their solutions at the production facilities of large Japanese companies. Startups will receive training and mentoring with Japanese experts, as well as take part in pitch sessions with Japanese investors. Some of the solutions are integrated into the production processes of Japanese corporations.

When selecting for the accelerator, the focus will be on projects from the following areas: production, transportation and utilization of hydrogen and ammonia; use of renewable energy sources; digital technologies for measuring, controlling and visualizing CO2 emissions; decarbonization of supply chains and logistics processes; technologies related to emissions trading (monitoring, certification, e-commerce technologies); capture, storage and processing of greenhouse gases (including CO2); closed-cycle economics (recycling, waste disposal, etc.); mobility, unmanned vehicles; technologies aimed at energy conservation, including digital.

At the first stage of selection for the acceleration program, startups are waiting for applications in the format of video pitches in English.

At the second stage, selected startups listen to training lectures, undergo mentoring, and participate in an online event with Japanese investors. Some of the solutions are integrated into the production processes of Japanese corporations.
