On October 28, the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SPb CCI) hosted a conference in a hybrid format "Introduction of the principles of circular economy for the complete recycling of waste generated as a result of wastewater treatment (business models, biotechnologies and exchange of experience)".
Organizers: Association of Ecological Partnership (NP "ASEP") with the support of Environmental Councils under the Governors of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region, Mikkeli City Development Agency Miksei Oy (Finland).
The event was held as part of the implementation of the cross-border cooperation Program "South-East Finland – Russia 2014-2020" project "BBC1" "Business in biotechnology and circular economy", in synergy with the project "Cool4city" "Environmentally friendly urban environment through rational waste management".
The conference was attended by more than 30 specialized organizations and enterprises specializing in the development and application of technologies for processing and disposal of sewage sludge in Russia and Finland.
The moderators were Krylov B.S. (Chairman of the Committee on Nature Management and Ecology of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, NP "AsEP"), Shevchuk Y.S. (Chairman of the Public Environmental Council under the Governor of the Leningrad Region).
